It’s not the strong or the worthy, but the poor in spirit who will inherit the Kingdom of God.
May God give you the grace to see your brokenness, to sit with your hurt, and offer up your emptiness, to know that you ARE the poor in spirit.
And so, whatever you are holding on to, whether it’s your wealth, your friends, your family, your abilities, even your love and obedience. Lay it down because it’s not near good enough to gain entry into the Kingdom.
The fewer worthless things you cling to, the more you can receive, the more you can be transformed, the more you can be filled by Jesus Christ, the lover of your soul.
